DESCRIPTION:Presented in partnership with the North Carolina Forest Service and North Carolina Tree Farm Program. \n  \nThis is a 3-day event:  \nWednesday September 6\, 2023 from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM\nThursday September 7\, 2023 from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM\n&\nFriday September 8\, 2023 from 9:30 AM to 2:00 PM \n  \nThe Longleaf 101 Academy will provide instruction from The Longleaf Alliance and featured guest speakers in “all things longleaf”. The course will consist of both classroom and field learning to begin\, or enhance\, your longleaf education\, no matter your experience level. \n  \nLongleaf 101 will guide participants through a wide range of topics: \n\n – cultural and natural history\n – fire and longleaf\n – site preparation\n – proper planting techniques\n – deriving income from longleaf products\n – converting to longleaf\n – restoring groundcover\n – managing for wildlife objectives\n – topics of local significance\n\n  \nApproved for 14 Cat 1 SAF Credits. \n\nThis Academy is sold out.
