DESCRIPTION:Agenda\n  \nLongleaf 101 is a 2.5-day event:  \nTuesday March 24 and Wednesday March 25 will be full days at the meeting facility;\nThursday March 26 will be a morning field tour and dismiss at midday.\n \n  \nThe Longleaf 101 Academy will provide instruction from The Longleaf Alliance and featured guest speakers in “all things longleaf”. The course will consist of both classroom and field learning to begin\, or enhance\, your longleaf education\, no matter your experience level. \n  \nLongleaf 101 will guide participants through a wide range of topics: \n\n – cultural and natural history\n – fire and longleaf\n – site preparation\n – proper planting techniques\n – economic opportunities from longleaf products\n – restoring native groundcover\n – managing for wildlife objectives\n – topics of local significance\n\n  \n  \nLandowners: We are pleased to be able to waive the registration fee for landowners to take part in this Academy\, thanks to the generous sponsorship the program has received.  Use the RSVP option below to register for the landowner fee waiver\, as we have a limited number of spots for this opportunity. \n  \nLodging Information: We do not have a block of rooms set up so you are free to select your own accommodations. \n  \n**Attendees will need to check in and present an ID at the Camp Shelby Visitor Center prior to entering.** \n  \nApproved for 14.5 SAF Cat 1 Credits  \n  \nSponsored by the Mississippi Forestry Association with support from the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation.
