DESCRIPTION:Presented in partnership with the Texas Longleaf Team. \n  \nThe Longleaf 101 Academy will provide expert instruction from The Longleaf Alliance and featured guest speakers in “all things longleaf”. The course will consist of both classroom and field learning to begin or enhance your longleaf education\, no matter your experience level. \n  \nLongleaf 101 will guide participants through a wide range of topics: \n\n – cultural and natural history\n – fire and longleaf\n – site preparation\n – proper planting techniques\n – deriving income from longleaf products\n – converting to longleaf\n – restoring groundcover\n – managing for wildlife objectives\n – topics of local significance\n\n  \nApproved for\n17.5 SAF Category I credits\n15.5 Texas Pro Logger  credits \n\nThe Longleaf Alliance cares about the communities where we work. As the COVID-19 pandemic remains a concern to the health and safety of those communities\, we continue to follow the latest science and guidelines on holding in-person events. \n  \nParticipants should not attend if exhibiting symptoms of COVID-19\, or are under isolation or quarantine protocol per the CDC.
