DESCRIPTION:Longleaf & the Landowner is designed especially for beginning landowners and those who are ready to take a more active role in the management and ownership of their land. \n  \n\nDiscover how to seek financial assistance for land stewardship activities and apply for cost-share programs.\nGain a better understanding of heirs’ property  issues and helpful resources. \nLearn the economics\, ecology\, and management of longleaf pine through a combination of classroom and field instruction.\nAll landowners and natural resource professionals are encouraged to attend!\n\n  \nThe course takes place over 2 days:\n \nThursday June 5th – Friday June 6th\, 2025\n8:30am – 4:30 pm each day \n  \nTopics to be covered: \n– Working with a Forestry Professional \n– Getting Started with Cost-Share \n– Creating Your Family Forest Legacy \n– Business Planning for Your Family Forest & Farm \n– Keys to Establishing Longleaf Pine \n  \nMultiple ways to attend: \nLandowner registration – $50 for the course \nLandowner waiver – available to waive registration costs for landowners who would not otherwise be able to participate \nProfessional registration – $100 for the course \nSAF credits pending \n\n  \nREGISTER BY FRIDAY MAY 30th\nTuskegee University is a closed campus – please fill out a visitor pass application after registering for this course: \nhttps://tuskegeeuniversity.formstack.com/forms/id_request_form \nYou will be asked to upload a photo of yourself and your drivers license.
