Conserving Diverse Forests

HomeWhat We DoConserving Diverse ForestsRare Species

Rare Species

Wildlife species that live in the longleaf forest are as vital to the ecosystem as the trees and plants. They contribute to the diversity, function, and beauty of the forest. Many animals are dependent on fire-maintained forests for their continued survival. The Longleaf Alliance is dedicated to supporting and implementing conservation actions that promote survival and aid in the recovery of endemic longleaf species under threat.
