Longleaf Foundations is a condensed course from the Longleaf Academy Program, designed for those that would like to begin building a solid foundation of longleaf knowledge.

This course will be held entirely online–so you can learn at your own pace and on your own schedule.

Expect to dedicate about 8-10 hours of study to complete Longleaf Foundations. All content will be available for your viewing on-demand, with interactive discussions to connect with the instructors.

Longleaf Foundations will guide participants through a wide range of topics, including:

– cultural and natural history

– fire and longleaf

– site preparation

– seedling quality

– proper planting techniques

– restoring groundcover

– managing for wildlife objectives

– other management topics

And “Ask the Alliance” live sessions where you can have your longleaf questions addressed by the staff of The Longleaf Alliance.
