Thursday April 18, 2024 from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Herbicides & Longleaf will give participants the tools needed to incorporate herbicides into their own unique longleaf management objectives. Expert instruction will take place through a combination of classroom lectures, exercises, discussions and a field tour.
Herbicide choices regarding site preparation and herbaceous and woody release will be emphasized, along with the following topics:
- – herbicide rates
- – timing of applications
- – application methods
- – surfactants and adjuvants
- – control of invasive and unwanted species
- – preserving native plants during longleaf restoration
Lodging: A room block has been set up at Merry Acres Inn. Please call them directly at 229-435-7721 to reserve a room under the “Longleaf Alliance” group.
Professional Credits:
Approved for 10.5 Cat 1 and 1.5 Cat 2 SAF continuing education credits.
GA and FL certified pesticide applicator credits are pending.
