Join The Longleaf Alliance and our partners for an exciting learn & burn workshop, ideal for landowners and land managers with minimal to no prescribed fire experience.
Attendees will:
- – Participate in a live burn
- – Learn about prescribed burn techniques, burn plans, smoke management, fire weather, liability laws, financial resources, and burn permits
- – Ask questions to experienced professionals
What to Expect:
- – Participants are required to sign a hold-harmless liability disclosure/waiver on the day of the event.
- – Participants must expect to be active part of the day walking on uneven ground and using/carrying tools.
- – Participants must wear natural fiber (cotton, linen, silk, wool) pants and shirts. Leather boots are preferred.
- – Participants are encouraged to bring eye protection and leather gloves.
In the event of rain, the workshop will be rescheduled to June 11th.
