You and your family are invited to join us for the 4th annual Savannah River Fire Festival!
Enjoy a fun day outdoors celebrating how prescribed fire is good for Georgia’s forests and meet some of the organizations using it to support healthy wildlife habitat and reduce the risk of wildfires.
It’s a FREE festival for the whole family with fire equipment, food trucks, face painting, and games!
In case of inclement weather, the rain date for this event is March 9th.
Explore nature exhibits, fire equipment, and the many benefits of prescribed fire with our wonderful partners (including, but not limited to):
Honey Ridge Agricenter, Burner Bob®, Wildlife Resources Division – Georgia DNR, Georgia Forestry Commission, Effingham County Fire Rescue, Effingham County UGA Cooperative Extension, The Georgia Conservancy, Georgia-Alabama Land Trust, Georgia Wildlife Federation, Ogeechee Technical College, Georgia Prescribed Fire Council, The Nature Conservancy, Georgia Tree Farm, Savannah-Ogeechee Canal Museum and Nature Center, Savannah River Prescribed Burn Association, Fort Stewart Fish & Wildlife Branch, Fort Stewart Forestry Branch, and Coastal WildScapes.

How to get there:
From I-95: Exit at exit 99B to merge onto I-16 W toward Macon. Take exit 152 onto GA-17/Bloomingdale Road. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto GA-17/Bloomingdale Road. Turn left onto US-80 W. Turn right onto GA-17N. At the roundabout, take the second exit onto GA-17N. Turn left onto Honey Ridge Road and the Agricenter will be on your left!
From I-16: Exit at exit 148 toward US-80. Merge onto Old River Rd. Take a slight left onto US-80 W. Turn right onto Old Darien Rd/Sand Hill Rd. Turn right onto Old Marlow Rd/Wesley Dr. Turn left onto GA-17 N. Turn left onto Honey Ridge Road and the Agricenter will be on your left!
*While we love your pets, we ask that you please leave them at home during the festival.
