Lodging: On-site lodging is included on the night of Tuesday October 3, 2023. Lodge rooms are single occupancy, each with a private bathroom. Adjoining areas between rooms include a shared living area and kitchenette.
Understory Diversity 201 will consist of both classroom lectures and hands-on field exercises. Expert botanists and ecologists from The Longleaf Alliance and partners will lead attendees in the study of native plant identification techniques, ecological functions of groundcover, understory restoration techniques and management methods.
Field tours and demonstrations will provide continuing education about the diverse longleaf understory, with an emphasis on native warm season grasses, composites and legumes.
