Alex Jones

Alex Jones is serving as The Longleaf Alliance’s Invasive Species Technician as he continues working toward a degree in Environmental Science at Troy University. Growing up in the Sandhills of South Carolina, he found a passion for the outdoors and especially for longleaf pine ecosystems. This inspired him to join the Gulf Coastal Plain Ecosystem Partnership (GCPEP) Invasives Team to help protect these habitats for future generations. His past work experience includes habitat restoration and invasive species removal in Alabama and invasive species monitoring in Wyoming. Alex enjoys field herping and finding any excuse to be outdoors.
