Ashlynn Moretti

Ashlynn Moretti was originally born in Colorado but has since moved 15 times. She graduated from the University of Pittsburgh in Spring of 2024 with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental Studies and Communication Rhetoric, as well as a certificate and distinction in Sustainability. Over the past couple of years, she has gathered a vast range of experience in the environmental field, ranging from researching the evolution of aquatic invasive plants in novel environments and how native species respond, working with the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection  to understand the impacts of abandoned mine drainage and fracking to implement policy changes for reclamation and/or mitigation, and studying changing climate impacts on Alaskan salmon populations. She has a strong passion for environmental conservation and restoration, so, this summer Ashlynn started with The Longleaf Alliance to continue expanding her experience and knowledge as part of the AMBBIS Restoration Team.
