Marylou Horan

The Longleaf Alliance welcomes Marylou Horan as the Georgia Partnerships Coordinator. Marylou grew up in the heart of the longleaf pine region in southeast Georgia and has been an avid explorer of the natural world for as long as she can remember. This passion led her to pursue a degree in Wildlife Biology. For the past nine years, Marylou worked with the Georgia Department of Natural Resources, where she managed and monitored habitats for rare and sensitive species on Wildlife Management Areas. Her favorite aspect of habitat management is prescribed fire. Through her work, she collaborated with numerous fire crews and agencies, gaining valuable experience in the management of longleaf pine ecosystems and their associated habitats. In her new role, Marylou looks forward to expanding her knowledge and working with a variety of partners and landowners as the Georgia Partnerships Coordinator.
