Longleaf Foundations is a condensed course from the Longleaf Academy Program, designed for those that would like to begin building a solid foundation of longleaf knowledge.
This course will be held entirely online–so you can learn at your own pace and on your own schedule.
Expect to dedicate about 8-10 hours of study to complete Longleaf Foundations. All content will be available for your viewing on-demand, with interactive discussions to connect with the instructors.
Longleaf Foundations will guide participants through a wide range of topics, including:
– cultural and natural history
– fire and longleaf
– site preparation
– seedling quality
– proper planting techniques
– restoring groundcover
– managing for wildlife objectives
– other management topics
And “Ask the Alliance” live sessions where you can have your longleaf questions addressed by the staff of The Longleaf Alliance.
