Longleaf Forests Do It All
September 26, 2023
Longleaf pine forests provide wildlife habitat for imperiled species, sequester carbon, protect water quality, and produce high-quality wood products!
We are excited to have the longleaf ecosystem and The Longleaf Alliance’s work with our partners featured in this incredible video, including our efforts to promote prescribed fire, climate resilience, biodiversity, and longleaf restoration with the University of Georgia Savannah River Ecology Laboratory, South Carolina Department of Natural Resources, Natural Resources Conservation Service, and Hitchcock Woods.
Thank you to the National Fish and Wildlife Foundation and the Bezos Earth Fund for the continued support of restoration work on the ground through the Longleaf Landscape Stewardship Fund.
